Memories in Music w/ Michael Waite
A grieving person is often caught between memories of the past, the present feelings of love and loss, and life as it goes on around them.
That’s why we’re bringing back Memories in Music: A Virtual Concert Series and Fundraiser. This event series uses music as a way for grievers to connect with each other and honor their loved ones by sharing their stories through song requests.
Memories in Music was born when on an online-streamed concert, singer/songwriter Michael Waite played a song for Sarah Peterson, founder, and president of Clear Mourning. The song was from the father-daughter dance at Sarah’s wedding, and it had a powerful impact on her spirit and her grief over losing her father.
In trying to recreate an experience like this for other grievers, Clear Mourning and Michael Waite are hosting Memories in Music —a virtual concert series of song requests.
We hope you’ll join us as we use music as an outlet for meaning-making; Together we can honor those who have passed away and make connections through music.
The concert will be streamed live on Facebook & Youtube on November 26th at 4:00 pm PST.
Clear Mourning is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to shift the culture of grief through awareness, innovation, and compassionate support.
This is a free concert series. Donations are welcomed.
Submissions are accepted until November 12th at 11:59 pm. (If your song isn’t selected for this concert we will keep it to be played in the next!
