Prepare for a weekly event of empathy and support designed specifically for those navigating anticipatory grief while caring for loved ones with dementia.
Hosted by Pam Askew, this upcoming gathering promises to be a beacon of guidance and understanding. Anticipatory grief can be an emotionally challenging journey, and caring for individuals with dementia brings its own unique set of complexities.
At this event, you’ll find a nurturing environment where you can connect with others who share similar experiences. Pam’s empathetic and understanding nature will create a valuable space for open discussions, providing support, coping strategies, and a sense of safety.
Whether you’re seeking solace, information, or a sense of community, this event is here to provide you with the support and tools you need to navigate this difficult terrain with compassion and resilience. Don’t miss this opportunity to find strength in shared stories and expertise, all aimed at helping you provide the best possible care for your loved ones while taking care of yourself.
This support group is designed for individuals who are navigating anticipatory grief while caring for loved ones with dementia. Whether you’re a family member, caregiver, or friend, this group offers a nurturing space for those with shared experiences.
Pam Askew is a devoted wife and mother of five, which includes two internationally adopted children. She has remained actively engaged in volunteer work within diverse educational environments. Pam experienced the loss of both parents and knows that life is short, so she seized the opportunity to enroll at COCC, embarking on a transformative journey that will culminate in earning a BSW from Portland State’s School of Social Work in June 2024. She aims to seamlessly transition into the advanced standing (Master of Social Work) MSW program while working with Clear Mourning. Pam is here to contribute to fostering a safe and supportive environment. We are grateful to have her with us.
Your donation helps to make our workshops and events possible and provides support for those who are grieving.
